dc.description.abstractInstitution biMBA AIUEO has a learning objective of growing interest in reading in early childhood, learning at biMBA AIUEO Jember uses reading modules, this is used as a foundation in stimulating reading skills in early childhood at biMBA AIUEO Jember, seeing the urgency of using reading modules in reading skills in early childhood at biMBA AIUEO Jember, the researcher determines the formulation of the research problem, namely, How is the use of "reading modules" in the reading skills of early childhood at biMBA AIUEO Jember. The purpose of this study is to describe the use of reading modules in the reading skills of early childhood at biMBA AIUEO Jember. this research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, determining the location by biMBA AIUEO Jember using techniques purposive area, determining informants using techniques purposive sampling, two key informants, namely, Motivator and Head of Unit, supporting informants numbered two people, namely parents of students, data collection was carried out through observation, interviews and documentation, data analysis was carried out through the process of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions, then data validity was checked through extended observation, increased persistence, and triangulation. The results of the study showed that the use of reading modules is used in stages, adjusted to the reading ability of each early childhood child at biMBA AIUEO Jember. The use of modules supports children's reading abilities, starting from being interested in seeing reading materials, pretending to read, recognizing letters, expressing words, to reading sentences and children can also remember reading in their surrounding environment. Children must be consistent in being read to and corrected by educators or parents, suggestions for future researchers to explore more deeply regarding the effectiveness of using reading modules in improving early childhood reading abilities.en_US
