Analisis Nilai-Nilai Pendidikan Karakter pada Buku Siswa Kelas VI Sekolah Dasar Tema Persatuan dalam Perbedaan Revisi Tahun 2018
Abstract
Character education plays an important role in shaping and developing positive
character in students, as well as correcting unwanted or inappropriate behavior.
The K13 curriculum utilizes textbooks or thematic books that contain character
values and translate them into competency indicators as an effort to foster
character development in students. This study aims to analyze the character values
presented in the textbooks for grade VI elementary school students, especially the
2018 revised edition of the Bhinneka Tunggal Ika theme. The research method used
is content analysis, where data collection is carried out by documenting
information from writing and pictures contained in 2018 revised edition of
textbooks for grade VI students with the theme of Unity in Diversity with the stages
of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. Based on the analysis of
character values in the sixth grade elementary school students' textbook Theme 2
"Bhinneka Tunggal Ika" in the 2018 revised edition, five character values were
analyzed, namely religious, mutual cooperation, nationalism, independence and
integrity. The character values contained in this book total 45 examples.
Specifically, there are 22 examples of national values, 17 examples of cooperation
values, 3 examples of integrity values, 2 examples of independence values, and 1
example of religiosity values
