Science literacy was the ability of individuals to understand and solve problems related to science and could be linked to the needs of society. The 21st century learning emphasized the importance of improving students' skills, one of which is science literacy. Science literacy was important to prepare the younger generation for changes in globalization. Learning that integrated science literacy could be helped students provide scientific explanations, draw conclusions based on scientific evidence, and develop a critical attitude. Local potential is the wealth that exists in an area that can benefit people's lives. Local potential integrated into science learning can help students connect scientific knowledge to the cultural context of everyday life. The study aims to develop a science e-module based on local potential with a STEM approach to improve science literacy of junior high school students. The research uses ADDIE development model consisting of five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Product validation was conducted by 3 validators, a product practicality test was carried out by observing learning implementation, and an effectiveness test was conducted by pretest, posttest, and student response questionnaire. The validation test results obtained a score of 86.25% with a very valid category. The practicality test results obtained a score of 89.9% with a very practical category. The effectiveness test results showed a pretest and posttest N-gain score of 0.68 in the moderate category and an overall student response score of 88.22% with a very positive category. Based on the data analysis results, the science e-module based on local potential with the developed STEM approach was found to be very valid, very practical, and effective enough to improve students' science literacy, making it suitable for use in science learning.en_US
