Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is a disease related to environmental health because the virus is transmitted through the bite of the Aedes aegypti mosquito. Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) sufferers are increasing and spreading more widely from year to year. Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is a disease related to environmental health because the virus is transmitted through the bite of the Aedes aegypti mosquito. Several types of plants that have the potential to act as natural larvicides are the taro plant (Colocasia esculenta). This study aims to determine the level of toxicity (LC50) of taro leaf extract (Colocasia esculenta) against Aedes aegypti mosquito larvae within 24 hours. This research method was carried out by conducting preliminary tests and final tests. The preliminary test aims to obtain a concentration series for the final test. The results of the preliminary test are used to determine the concentration that will be used in the final test. Determination of serial concentrations in the final test is carried out by creating 6 serial series of concentrations at the upper threshold and lower threshold which are made based on geometric series. During the preliminary and final testing processes, Aedes aegypti mosquito larvae were observed both before and after treatment. The results of the research showed that the Aedes aegypti mosquito larvae before and after being treated using a concentration of taro leaf extract (Colocasia esculenta) showed changes both in morphology and behavior. Aedes aegypti mosquito larvae after being treated using a concentration of taro leaf extract (Colocasia esculenta) showed changes, such as the body condition of the test larvae starting to experience damage such as the spinae falling out, their bodies experiencing lysis, shipon and their bodies changing color to pale or transparent. The movement of the Aedes aegypti mosquito larvae after being treated became less active in moving and tended to be at the bottom of the container. Based on the results of research on the toxicity of taro leaf extract (Colocasia esculenta) on the mortality of Aedes aegypti mosquito larvae, the leaves have a medium level of toxicity because the LC50 value is 1000 ppm is 1083,505 ppm with a lower limit of 787,554 ppm and an upper limit of 1319,508 ppm.en_US
