Pengaruh Metode Ekstraksi Refluks dan UAE terhadap Kadar Senyawa Tilirosida Daun Jati Belanda (Guazuma ulmifolia Lamk)
Abstract
Jati Belanda (Guazuma ulmifolia Lamk) is one of the medicinal plants that for a
long time has been used in traditional medicine. This plant contains various
bioactive compounds, including flavonoids, phenolic acids, and terpenoids.
Tiliroside, which is a marker compound in Jati Belanda, has many biological
activities such as antioxidant, anti-obesity, anti-diabetic and anti-hypertensive.
This study investigates the yield of tiliroside, a flavonoid compound, from the leaves
of Jati Belanda (Guazuma ulmifolia Lamk) using two extraction methods: Reflux
and Ultrasound-Assisted Extraction (UAE). The effects of extraction time, ethanol
concentration, and solvent-to-simplisia ratio on the yield of tiliroside were
optimized. The results showed that the UAE method with an ethanol concentration
of 70%, an extraction time of 90 minutes, and a solvent-to-simplisia ratio of 1:5
resulted in the highest yield of tiliroside (5.493 ± 0.248 mg/g). The reflux method
also showed a significant yield of tilirosid, but it was lower than that of the UAE
method. The study suggests that the UAE method is a more efficient and effective
method for extracting tiliroside from Jati Belanda leaves. The findings of this study
can be used to optimize the extraction process of tiliroside, the marker compounds
from Jati Belanda which has potential applications in the pharmaceutical and food
industries
