Pengembangan Media History Timeline Berbasis Model Memory dan Efektivitasnya terhadap Memory Skills
Abstract
Rapid technological developments encourage education to be in line with technological advances. This research aims to determine the development and validation results of the history timeline, and the effectiveness of the history timeline media on memory skills. The method used is the memory model. This learning media was created using WordPress and then validated by experts, user testing, and effectiveness testing with the results of expert validation of media design, content, and language respectively showing: (1) a score of 4.8 in the Very Good category, (2) a score of 4 .9 is in the Very Good category, (3) a value of 4.5 is in the Good category. The results of the effectiveness test showed an increase, namely from the pretest score of 63 and the posttest score of 81, then the T test (t = -9.468), using the Eta Squared formula and the result obtained was 0.75 with a relative effectiveness level of "Large Effect". Based on the research results, it can be concluded: (1) History timeline media based on memory models has been validated by experts and is suitable for use as a learning resource for history subjects for class XI SMA and (2) History timeline media based on memory models is effective in improving memory skills students regarding the proclamation of independence material as part of the history subject competency. These results show that the history timeline media based on memory models is very suitable for use in history learning and is expected to be able to motivate the development of further research.
