Kesalahan Berbahasa Tataran Sintaksis pada Penulisan Surat Pribadi Siswa Kelas VII A dan VII B SMPN 9 Kota Probolinggo Tahun Ajaran 2022/2023
Abstract
Syntactic errors in the writing of personal letters written by students of classes VII
A and VII B at SMPN 9 Probolinggo became the background for selecting the object
studied. The selection of this object based on sentence errors in personal letter
writing, where syntactic errors are still found. The aim of the research is to describe
the syntactic errors that exist in the personal letter writing of students in clasess VII
A and VIIB at SMPN 9 Probolinggo as well as the factors that cause these errors.
The data used were phrases and sentences that experienced syntactic errors in the
personal writing of student in class VII A and VII B at SMPN 9 Probolinggoas well
as the results of interview with Indonesian language teachers and several students
in class VII A and VII B. Using the purposive method. Sampling method. The
collection techniques used in this research are documentation techniques. From the
research results there were 4 sentence errors. Based on the results of research and
discussion, sentence errors include 1) inefficient sentences 2) illogilal sentences 3)
interference sentences 4) sentences not careful. The factors that cause syntactic
errors in writing personal letters for students in classes VII A and VII B at SMPN
9 Probolinggo are seen from internal factors, namely a lack of understanding of
language rules, while external factors are the use of everyday language, lack of
writing pratice, student have difficulty concentrating and understanding the
material.
