Petani Sengon di Desa Mulyorejo Kecamatan Silo Kabupaten Jember Tahun 2004-2022
Abstract
The sengon income factor is one of the things that can determine farmers' decisions in making the transition to sengon farming because the higher income earned by farmers tends to encourage farmers to do sengon farming which is considered more economical and profitable. Model of the issues discussed in this study: (1) Residents of Mulyorejo village in Silo District, Jember Regency, who became Sengong farmers in 2004, can tell their story. (2) What are the prospects for the economic development of Sengon farmers in the village of Mulyorejo, located in Silo District, Jember District, from 2004 to 2022? While the main objectives of this study were to (1) explore the background of the residents of Mulyorejo Village in Silo District, Jember County who became Sengon Farmers in 2004; (2) study the history of their transition to Sengong farming. Analyze the economic growth of Sengon farmers in the village of Mullorejo, located in Silo County, Jember County, from 2004 to 2022. The results of the research in this thesis are as follows: First, there are several factors behind the people of Mulyorejo Village to become farmers and cultivators of sengon trees who were previously coffee farmers due to economic reasons; being a sengon tree cultivator is much more profitable than being a coffee farmer whose prices and profits have not been able to increase the welfare of the community, secondly for reasons of geographical factors; where the village of Mulyorejo, Silo District, is very supportive of being made agricultural land and cultivating sengon plants. Second. The dynamics of the economy of the people of Mulyorejo Village, Silo Subdistrict, to become sengon farmers is by increasing the level of community welfare, as evidenced by the selling price of sengon wood which has high economic value.
