Analisis Kemampuan Literasi Sains Siswa SMA Kelas XI di Banyuwangi Pada Materi Perubahan Iklim
Abstract
Based on interviews with several Physics teachers in Banyuwangi, it was mentioned that class XI was selected as a student who carried out AKM, where one of the abilities tested was literacy. However, class XI still uses the K-13 book which is not oriented towards science literacy. In addition, some studies mention that students' science literacy skills, especially on climate change material, are at a low level. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the science literacy skills of grade XI students in Bnayuwangi on climate change material. The purpose of this research is to analyze the science literacy skills of grade XI students in Banyuwangi on climate change material. The method in this research is descriptive quantitative. The results showed that the science literacy skills of grade XI students on climate change material were in the high category with details, 9 students scored in the very high category, 94 students scored in the high category, 77 students scored in the medium category, 5 students scored in the low category, and 2 students scored in the very low category. In this study, there are obstacles, namely students are not accustomed to working on questions with the type of science literacy questions so that when working on students experience difficulties which cause the answers obtained by students are not optimal. So it can be concluded that the science literacy skills of class XI in Banyuwangi are in the high category.
