    Abstract
    Fish are aquatic animals that have a backbone (vertebrates) that are included in the Chordata phylum. Fish are poikilothermic animals that will adapt to the temperature of their environment. Freshwater fish can be found in various freshwater habitats, one of which is rivers. Geosite Lider is an area that is included in the conservation area under the auspices of the Ijen Geopark, Banyuwangi Regency. Data information regarding the diversity of freshwater fish in this area is still not available. This study aimed to determine the diversity of freshwater fish and abiotic conditions in the river flowing Lider waterfall. The survey and sampling were carried out from November 2022 to February 2023. Sampling used a tool in the form of a hand net which was carried out using the road sampling method at three river station points, namely upstream, middle and downstream. The results of the study obtained three families consisting of three species namely Rasbora lateristriata, Channa gachua, and Glyptothorax platypogon. Based on the results of Shannon-Wienner's diversity index (H') calculation, the diversity of freshwater fish in the Geosite Lider area is 1.08 which is classified as the medium category. The abiotic conditions measured included water temperatures in the range of 22-24°C; water pH 5-5.3; salinity of 0 ppt; light intensity between 388-1270 lux; and current speeds between 0.723-1.113 m/s. The results of the research are presented in popular scientific books, then book is validated by the validator. Based on the validation results, the average of the three validators was 88.4 with a very valid category.
