Exploring the Process of Constructing the Teaching Module of English Subject: A Narrative Research
Abstract
There have been processes to construct a teaching module of English subject. This paper aims to explore to the English teacher’s processes in constructing a teaching module of English subject in the Merdeka curriculum. This article reports a narrative study that was conducted using a semi-structured interview and involving an English Teacher in one of the senior high schools in Banyuwangi. The findings revealed that the English teacher from one of the high schools in Banyuwangi in this study stated that he mentioned the process of developing teaching modules in English subject. Results also suggest that the English teacher in this study were also required to adapt the concept of teaching modules. The research results are expected to contribute to education stakeholders, especially to the current educational system changes and to provides information for those interested in the same areas of the learning field as a source of knowledge, information, and reference to continue this research. Thus, this research can improve the quality of a school.
