Pengembangan LKPD Berbasis Think Pair Share untuk Meningkatkan Keterampilan Komunikasi Sains Siswa pada Pembelajaran IPA SMP
Abstract
Science communication skills were crucial in science learning as they involved observation, investigation, and decision-making. Unfortunately, the current level of science communication skills was still low and required a solution. One possible solution was developing a Student Worksheet based on Think Pair Share. The purpose of this research was to determine the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of Think Pair Share-based Student Worksheets in improving students' science communication skills. This research followed the ADDIE model of development. The research methods included interviews, observations, questionnaires, tests, and documentation. The research instruments used were validation sheets, implementation observation sheets, tests, and student respone questionnaires. The results showed that the Student Worksheet based on Think Pair Share was valid, practical, and effective in improving junior high school students' science communication skills. The average validation percentage was 91.92%, indicating a very valid category. The average implementation results showed 90,90% practicality, indicating the very practical category. The N-gain analysis indicated that the worksheet was effective with a score of 0.74, which was in the high category. The average student respone results were 86.27%, which was in the very good category. Therefore, it was concluded that the Think Pair Share-based Student Worksheet was a viable solution to improve science communication skills in junior high school students.
