Pengaruh LKPD Berbasis PhET terhadap Keterampilan Berpikir Kritis dan Hasil Belajar Siswa Kelas VII SMP Materi Pemanasan Global
Abstract
Students' critical thinking skills are relatively low, especially in science material. The low level of students' thinking skills affects student learning outcomes. This is caused by teacher-centered learning activities and the lack of use of learning models and media. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of using PhET-based LKPD on the critical thinking skills and learning outcomes of class VII SMP students on global warming material. This research is a quantitative research with a quasi-experimental design. The research population was class VII junior high school students. The sampling technique is random sampling, namely by randomly determining the control class and experimental class. The independent variable in this research is the PhET-based LKPD learning media on class VII global warming material. The engagement variables include critical thinking skills and student learning outcomes. The main data instrument is a test which aims to determine the results of critical thinking skills and student learning outcomes. Supporting instruments are observation and documentation. After the data is collected, an independent sample t test is carried out if the data meets the normality test. The research results show that the results of the Independent Sample T-test obtained a significance value of 0.000, which means sig. < 0.005 so H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, so it can be concluded that PhET-based LKPD has a significant effect on critical thinking skills and learning outcomes of class VII SMP students on global warming material.
