    Abstract
    UD. Jenang Kelapa Muda is a business that produces food in the form of jenang located in Jombang, East Java. The raw materials used are wheat flour, sugar and coconut. The use of perishable raw materials, fluctuating demand makes the company must be able to control its inventory. This study aims to determine how UD. Jenang Kelapa Muda controls its inventory so that there is no excess or shortage of raw materials. if there is a shortage of raw materials, it can hinder the production process, while if the excess raw material will increase the cost burden. The method used in this research is a qualitative method with research subjects in the form of informants. The data collection method used, namely using secondary data and primary data. Primary data in the form of interviews and observations, while for secondary data in the form of documentation. The data analysis used is taxonomy domain analysis. The result of this discovery is that raw material inventory control is carried out with three stages. First, analyze raw material requirements. The analysis is intended as planning for raw materials that will be used for the production process. The planning is seen from the use of raw materials and production capacity. Second is the purchase of raw materials. raw materials are purchased by looking at quality, quantity, order time, supplier and price. The quality of raw materials greatly affects the finished product that will be marketed. Coconut is the main determinant in this production. Third is inventory, raw material inventory is intended as storage of raw materials. inventory in the company must always be available so that the production process does not stop. The company also uses the stock anticipation method to prevent the production process from stopping. And to cope with spikes in demand in certain months.
