Pengaruh Model Learning Cycle 5E Berbantuan Lembar Kerja Tim Elektronik Berbasis Multirepresentasi dalam Pembelajaran IPA terhadap Higher Order Thinking Skills Siswa SMP
Abstract
This research was conducted with the aims to: (1) examine the effect of learning cycle 5E model assisted by multirepresentation-based electronic team worksheets in science learning on higher order thinking skills of junior high school students, and (2) examine the increase in higher order thinking skills of junior high school students after using learning cycle 5E model assisted by multirepresentation-based electronic team worksheets in science learning. The research was conducted at SMPN 2 Panti, Jember in the even semester of the 2022/2023 academic year. The samples used in this research were class VIII B as the experimental class and class VIII C as the control class. The data collection technique was carried out by giving pretest and posttest. Data analysis techniques using normalization test, independent sampel t-test, and n-gain test through SPSS statistics. The results of the independent sample t-test obtained a significance (2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05 so that it can be decided that there is a significant difference in students’ higher order thinking skills before and after treatment. The result of the n-gain test is an increase in students’ higher order thinking skills in the medium category of 0.5928. the conclusion is the learning cycle 5E model assisted by multirepresentation-based electronic team worksheets in science learning has a significant effect on the higher order thinking skills of junior high school students and can improve the higher order thinking skills of junior high school students in the medium category.
