Banyuwangi Regency is one of the areas with a relatively high proportion of wood production, with details of teak wood reaching 25% and jungle wood reaching 7.6% of 30 Regencies/Cities in East Java. This data proves that the potential for wood in Banyuwangi is very high, so it is not surprising that many people take advantage of natural potential such as wood in their daily life. One of the home industries that use wood as a raw material for making handicrafts in Banyuwangi Regency is Oesing Craft. Oesing Craft can utilize wood as a raw material for making handicrafts so that it has higher economic value. Because so far the community has assumed that wood can only be used for firewood and charcoal. In addition, the use of wood as a raw material for making handicrafts is also expected to minimize the use of household appliances made of plastic and hoped that if the product is used it will be safe at certain temperatures and from various fats/oils in food. Botanical economics research of wood as a raw material for making handicrafts aims to determine the characteristics of the various types of wood used, to find out the variety of handicraft products produced at Oesing Craft, and to find out the production process for handicrafts from wood. Not only that, this research also aims to determine the economic value of the wood used and the handicrafts produced and to produce popular scientific books that are used as information media on the utilization and conservation of wood that are validated. The research data was obtained using observation, interviews, and documentation. The sampling method used in this research is purposive sampling. Based on the research that has been done, the results show that various types of wood, such as teak wood (Tectona grandis), tamarind wood (Tamarindus indica), acacia wood (Acacia mangium), and trembesi wood (Samanea saman) can produce various kinds of handicraft products with variations and the uniqueness of each. Each handicraft product has a different economic value, so it can increase income and reduce the unemployment rate in Banyuwangi Regency. This type of handicraft product made from teak wood has a higher economic value because the quality and aesthetic value produced by teak wood is higher than other types of wood.en_US
