Abstract

Transportation is one of the infrastructure that is often used by the community. Transportation has an important role for people's lives. One of them is the mode of rail transportation. The scope of this research is in Banyuwangi Regency, precisely on the Kabat-Meneng railway line. This research method is historical method. A railroad track is a railroad facility and infrastructure consisting of railroad tracks and stations for train stops. The role of the Kabat-Meneng railroad is very significant in the Banyuwangi region. Because it functions as a mode of transportation for the distribution of fertilizers in the Banyuwangi area. As well as supporting transportation for export and import carried out at Meneng Port. The Kabat-Meneng railway line has four stations for the drop off and transportation of passengers and goods. The construction of this railroad line was motivated by the increasing number of requests for fertilizer in Banyuwangi. In addition, in order to streamline the export and import process, which was originally at Banyuwangi Port, it was moved to Meneng Port.
