Kebijakan Sosial Budaya Pemerintah Orde Baru terhadap Etnis Tionghoa Tahun 1966-1998

Abstract

The topic that is the subject of this research is the socio-cultural policies of the New Order government by focusing on the study of the discussion of ethnic Chinese in 1966-1998. This research uses Gottschalk's historical method with four stages, namely gathering sources (heuristics), source criticism (verification), source analysis (interpretation), and writing (historiography). The results of this study are; (1) The background of the implementation of Socio-Cultural policies towards the Chinese ethnicity in 1966-1998: Chinese ethnic exclusivism in Indonesia and Political Factors, (2) Implementation of Socio-Cultural Policies towards Chinese Ethnicity in 1966-1998: Changing schools Chinese, restrictions on Chinese Ethnic Religious Practices, Beliefs and Customs, change of Chinese names to Indonesian names (3) Impact of Socio-Cultural Policy on Chinese Ethnicity in 1966-1998: Reaction of Ethnic Chinese Against Socio-Cultural Policies.
