Solar power (PV) system is currently widely used because it is relatively cheap, easier in installation, and also environmentally friendly. However, PV system has some weakness such as an output voltage which depends on weather conditions and ambient temperature. It becomes a serious problem that should be solved in PV system. Usually this problem is solved using Maximum Power Point Tracker (MPPT). In this paper, MPPT will be designed and discussed in order to keep small losses using a simple design of converter. This MMPT design is based on Fuzzy logic. Basically, the principle of MPPT based on fuzzy logic controller is to get current and voltage, so that PV system has minimum power losses. To achieve it, the duty cycle value is used to adjust the angle of ignition switch of MOSFET on the converter. The proposed method was shown through simulation performed by using MATLAB software. Simulation results show that the system is able to improve the PV power extraction efficiency significantly by approximately 98% of PV’s power.en_US
