    Abstract
Pulmonary tuberculosis is not a physical health disease, but it also mental health disease and social conditions, psychologically stress. Self efficacy in pulmonary tuberculosis patients focus on the belief of ability to perform behaviors that support the healing process. Physical and emotional conditions determine how people judge self-efficacy. This research use observational analytic design with cross sectional approach. A total of 64 respondents were enrolled in this study by using purposive sampling technique. Stress was measured by using questionnaire of DASS 42 specifically stress and Self-Efficacy of pulmonary tuberculosis. Data were analyzed by using Spearman test with significance level 0,05. The results showed that the mean value of stress and self efficacy was 6,41 and 64,92 respectively. The p value was 0.001 (p < 0.5) with the correlation (r) of -0.631. It indicates that there is significant correlation between stress and self efficacy in patient pulmonary tuberculosis at the area of Public Health Centerof Patrang Jember. The correlation was strong and positif which means the more severe the stress level the more unfavorable self-efficacy.In this study there is an emotional connection with self efficacy.
