HUBUNGAN TINGKAT STRES DENGAN EFIKASI DIRI PADA PASIEN TB PARU DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS PATRANG KABUPATEN JEMBER
Abstract
Pulmonary tuberculosis is not a physical health disease, but it also mental health
disease and social conditions, psychologically stress. Self efficacy in pulmonary
tuberculosis patients focus on the belief of ability to perform behaviors that
support the healing process. Physical and emotional conditions determine how
people judge self-efficacy. This research use observational analytic design with
cross sectional approach. A total of 64 respondents were enrolled in this study by
using purposive sampling technique. Stress was measured by using questionnaire
of DASS 42 specifically stress and Self-Efficacy of pulmonary tuberculosis. Data
were analyzed by using Spearman test with significance level 0,05. The results
showed that the mean value of stress and self efficacy was 6,41 and 64,92
respectively. The p value was 0.001 (p < 0.5) with the correlation (r) of -0.631. It
indicates that there is significant correlation between stress and self efficacy in
patient pulmonary tuberculosis at the area of Public Health Centerof Patrang
Jember. The correlation was strong and positif which means the more severe the
stress level the more unfavorable self-efficacy.In this study there is an emotional
connection with self efficacy. Stress can affect self efficacy, motivation against
self-disruption of pulmonary TB disease.This study demonstrates issues for
addressing psychosocial problems such as stress and self-efficacy in pulmonary
tuberculosis patients to determine appropriate capabilities and to address self
efficacy of patients.
