Backgrounds. Riset Kesehatan Dasar (Riskedas) in 2007-2013 showed the highest increasing
problems of oral health in children ages 5-9 (21.6% to 28.9%) and 10-14 (20.6% to 25.2%), so
the health service need to be improved through Usaha Kesehatan Gigi dan Mulut (UKGS).
The counseling method of UKGS commonly used lecture, which was one way
communication and monotonous. Therefore, the alternative counseling method which
was compatible with children's character, such as monopoly and outbound games were
needed. Objective: To understand the difference of counseling method by outbound and
monopoly games with lecture method to improved oral health knowledge of class

at SDN Sumbersari 03 Jember. Method and Material: The subject
was class 4

, 5

, and 6
th
students, and filled the informed consent agreement. The subject
was divided into three groups; the lecture, monopoly and outbound. Research procedure
began with pretest, specific counseling method, and posttest. Results and Conclusion: The
data before and after counseling of lecture and outbound method was analyzed with
Paired T-Test, and the monopoly method with Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test. The results is
significant (p<0.05). The results of three different test methods using Kruskal Wall Test
showed no significant difference between three method (p>0,05). The conclusion showed
that outbound and monopoly method can be used as counseling alternative method, but
there are no methods that effective and efficient the most.
