HUBUNGAN DUKUNGAN SUAMI DENGAN PERILAKU PENCEGAHAN TERHADAP KANKER SERVIKS PADA WANITA DEWASA AWAL DI DESA BALUNG LOR KECAMATAN BALUNG KABUPATEN JEMBER

Abstract

Cervical cancer is the leading cause of death of women in developing countries. According to data from pathology-based cancer centers in 13 pathology laboratories, cervical cancer is cancer has the highest number of patients in Indonesia. This research purposes is knowing the corelation between a husband support and wife behavior for preventing cervical cancer at Balung Jember. This research used cross sectional approach. The sampling technique was purposive sampling involving 142 respondents. Data analysis used Chi-square test with the significance level of 95% (α=0,005). The result showed p value 0,003, α=0,05 it means there were significant the corelation between a husband support and wife behavior for preventing cervical cancer at Balung Jember, there were 57,7% wife whose have a laek support from their husband, and about 63,4% wife have a bad prevention behavior of cervical cancer. Mothers with a bad support of husband have a chance about 3 times to get a bad behavior prevention on cervical cancer. Husband support the laek behavior of cervical cancer prevention by 61 respondents (42.96%. Nurse should enchance husband support for his wife to prevention cervical cancer.
