The problem of bread company "Donna Jaya Barokah" Jember is that the production planning
made is not optimal, so that there are still products returned because they are not absorbed by market.
Therefore, it is necessary for the company to plan in order to optimize its production. This research
was intended to determine how to optimize the products at bread company "Donna Jaya Barokah"
Jember in an effort of obtaining optimal production quantity based on input owned through goal
programming approach. The research used quantitative method with descriptive case study approach.
The research used analytical method of forecasting technique used to predict market demand and goal
programming to optimize the inputs owned. The results showed that the use of goal programming in
production planning could provide more optimal production for the company. Companies can optimize
the inputs owned, so that the profits gained were more maximum. This can be seen from the company's
profit in the first period; previously it was IDR 211,444,332.-, then it could be maximized to IDR
222,810,327.-
