This research is aimed to found an effective way from India to resist China in the
region of South China Sea. The South China Sea itself is a region that can not be
separated from the conflict caused by the energy potential. One of the epicenters of
conflict is the potential energy contained in the South China Sea. The cruise line is
also a major base that makes the South China Sea region as an area of influence in
the foreign policy activities of other countries. Escalation of the conflict in the
South China Sea started precisely on in 1936 at which time the Government of the
Republic of China officially announced its boundary lines, known as "The Nine-
Dashed Line". China's actions in the past are evidence that China seeks to
strengthen its position as the hegemon in the South China Sea. The country that
feel threatened by the dominance of China in the South China Sea region is India.
India then attempted to overcome these threats by making Vietnam as a partner in
the fight against the hegemony of China in the South China Sea. India with
Vietnam embodies resistance against the hegemony of China in the South China
Sea by conducting joint oil exploration in areas claimed to belong to China. When
referring to the United Nations Conventions on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) in
1982 conducted by the Indian cooperation with Vietnam actually has legality
internationally.
