Identifikasi Prioritas Konservasi Berdasarkan Tingkat Bahaya Erosi (TBE) dan Sosial Ekonomi
Abstract
Conservation is an act to guarding the existence of something continuous quality and quantity. Conservation needs to be
done to reduce or prevent excessive erosion. Erosion can occur naturally or as a result of human action. In the natural
erosion, the number of land transported balanced with the formation of the land .While the accelerated erosion (human
action) has been confirmed to cause harm to humans such as: floods, drought, the fall in productivity of soil, and others.
Losses because accelerated erosion as floods can happen in a variety of areas including in Kemiri and Suci Village, Panti
district, Jember regency. Erosion can be predicted using the USLE (Universal Soil Loss Equation). This erosion
prediction aims to determine the large erosion due to agricultural cultivation and prioritize land management in
accordance with the results obtained erosion prediction. To determine the grouping of farmers and socio-economic
relations with erosion was conducted with hierarchical cluster analysis and bivariate correlations. The results showed that
each zone produces large erosion prediction studies, each for 134.56 tons/ha/year, 29.16 tons/ha/year, and 37.54
tons/ha/year. The order of conservation priorities based on the results of erosion prediction from large to small erosion.
In addition, from hierarchical cluster analysis and bivariate correlation is known that the level of socio-economic from
land area has a significant connection to the large erosion caused. Thus, the necessary attention on the techniques of
cultivation and conservation are done to obtain the erosion on the threshold of tolerance.
