PENGARUH ACTIVE CASE TREATMENT (ACT) TERHADAP TINGKAT KEPATUHAN PASIEN TB PARU DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS SUKOWONO KABUPATEN JEMBER
Abstract
The treatment of pulmonary tuberculosis is atype of treatment that takes a long
time, it’s about 6 up to 9 months. The succes of treatment is determined by the
patients compliance in taking medication. The purpose of this research is to know
the influence of active case treatment (ACT) to the level of pulmonary tuberculosis
patients compliance in working area of Sukowono public health center at Jember.
This research is an observational descriptive study with cross-sectional design,
with a total sampling of 14 respondents. The data were analyzed by chi-square
with 95%CI (α=0,05), generate p value=0,044 and OR=12. In conclusion, there
is influence of active case treatment (ACT) to the level of compliance of
pulmonary tuberculosis patients in working area of Sukowono public health
center at Jember. Pulmonary tuberculosis patients tend to be more obedient 12
times to the treatment with the implementation of better ACT than poorly ACT.
The suggestions for public health center is expected to improve the
implementation of ACT program with the hope patients are able to be obedient to
the treatment so it can break the chain of transmission of pulmonary tuberculosis.
