HUBUNGAN TINGKAT PENGETAHUAN IBU DENGAN STATUS GIZI ANAK USIA SEKOLAH DASAR KELAS RENDAH DI SDN JATIAN 03 KECAMATAN PAKUSARI KABUPATEN JEMBER
Abstract
Nutrition status is a balance condition between consumtion and nutrition
absorbtion in the body. Nutrition status is important because the one of risk
factors that cause morbidity and mortality on the children. Nutrition knowledge
was the one of factors that effect of child food consumption. This study aim to
analyze the correlation of mother‘s knowledge level with nutrition status of
children of lower class elementary school in SDN Jatian 03. The design of this
study was observational analytic design with cross sectional approach. This
research used 54 respondents as sample by using total sampling. The result
showed 30 mother had medium level knowledge (55,6%) and 35 children had
normal nutrition status (64,8%). The data analyzed used chi-square 95% CI
(α=0.05) p value 0,005 < α (0.05) and odd ratio (OR) 8,000 as the result. The
conclusion there was very significant correlation between mother‘s knowledge
level with nutrition status of children of lower class elementary school. Mother’s
with medium knowledge risk 8,000 to have children with normal nutrition status.
Based on the research, recommended to the mothers to improve their knowledge
about serving nutrition to the chlidren with school age.
