FAKTOR-FAKTOR PENYEBAB KEMENANGAN AHMADINEJAD PADA PEMILU IRAN TAHUN 2009

Abstract

At the year of 2009, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has declare him self to be participated again in a presidential election. It means that he have to compete against three candidate; Mir Hossein Mousavi, Mehdi Karroubi and Mohsen Rezaie. All of those three names are somebody known for already having a long career in the Iran government. After a series of political rivalries at the campaign period, on 13 June, The Commition of General Election of Iran announced that Mahmoud Ahmadinejad had gained an enormous vote of 64,63% people, when Mousavi just having a 33,75% vote. Meanwhile, Karroubi and Rezaie just having a little number of 2% vote from the Iranian people. It means that Ahmadinejad had secured a big win in the presidential election. The victory of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in the year of 2009 is also a victory of the Neo Conservative faction. The victory has maintain their domination in Iran political system. It also means that they had successfully managed to keep the political and governmental system to stay conservative in their economic, socio-cultural and foreign policy. The returns of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to the presidential palace shocked many people in the West. It is caused that they already think that the majority of people in Iran, basically, are the basis of the political strength of reformist faction. They will tends to vote Mir Hossein Mousavi. This victory showed that they are wrong. The majority of people in Iran are attracted to Mahmoud Ahmadinejad because they feels that Ahmadinejad figure is representative for them. The endorsement of the Supreme Leader, Ayatullah Khamenei, is also another important factor that makes them move to the voting ballot and vote for the Mardomyar.
