    Abstract
    Stone plates Mining is one of the mining in the Jember where the stone plate muddy become a major commodity for exports sale. Mining activities in addition to the positive impact also have negative impacts, so it is necessary for environmental risk management activities to minimize negative impacts and enhance positive impacts. Risk management process includes hazard identification, risk assessment and risk management. This study aims to analyze the environmental risks of stone plate mining. The observational study design and time-based study are included to cross sectional study. Research data collection use questionnaires and interview techniques with observation. The results of this study is the risk of stone plates mining activities in the bedadung village including risk of damage and environmental pollution, the risk of workplace accidents to mine workers and the risk of decline in moral values of citizens. Landslides and air pollution are the highest risk of mining activities, meanwhile the impact that has occurred during the mining activities take place is the impact of negative and positive. Negative impacts that happen are changes in the landscape, environmental pollution and damage to road infrastructure. The positive impacts that happen are to create new jobs, reduce unemployment and increase incomes of local people. Based on these results are expected to have good environmental management in the society, institutions and the law so the environment in the Jember remain stable.
