PENGARUH ALAT PERMAINAN EDUKATIF PETAK UMPET HURUF TERHADAP PERKEMBANGAN KOGNITIF ANAK USIA PRASEKOLAH DI PAUD THOLABAH KECAMATAN LEDOKOMBO KABUPATEN JEMBER
Abstract
Children need a special attention for their development optimalization. A child who is
given a lot of stimulation would develope more rapidly than a child with less
stimulation. One of stimulation that could be given was educative game tool
stimulation. One of the educative game tool is petak umpet huruf. This study aims to
analyze the effect of petak umpet huruf as an educative game tool on the preschool’s
cognitive development at PAUD Tholabah Ledokombo, Jember. The study used preexperimental
design with one group pretest and posttest approach. Sampel was 52
respondents, determined using purposive sampling with inclusion criteria. Data
analysis used wilcoxcon signed rank test. The result shown that p
value=0.000<α=0.05 so that Ho was rejected. The conclution was that there was a
very significant effect of of petak umpet huruf as an educative game toy on the
preschool’s cognitive development at PAUD Tholabah Ledokombo, Jember. The
study suggested the famiies to give their children petak umpet huruf as one of
cognitive development stimulation.
