    Abstract
Nutrition problem may decrease biological function to the body of people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWH) because it will accelerate the progression of the disease. The purpose of this study was to analyse the correlation of demographic factors, clinical factors and behavioral factors on nutritional status in PLWH using body mass index in Jember regency. The research design used quantitative descriptive with cross sectional approach. The sampling technique used consecutive sampling involving 138 PLWH as a research sample. Data were collected using respondent’s questionnaire characteristics and continued using the caliberized weigh and height measurement tools. The results of this study indicatde that there were respondents who have not paid attention to their nutritional status. Although the majority of the nutritional status of PLWH in Jember regency is in the normal category, but there were PLWH who have mild to severe levels of underweight and overweight. Data analysis using spearman, lambda contingency coefficient, kendal tau b and kendal tau c. The results of bivariate analysis such as occupation (p=0,049), duration of ARVs (p=0,019), opportunistic infections (p=-0,022), drug use (p=0,038), alcohol consumption (p=0,013), smoking (p=0,030) are known to have correlations, but age (p=0,429), sex (p=0,056), education (p=0,074), and ARV status (p=0,079) are known to have no correlation. In this case the nurse can act as an educator. Efforts to provide education about nutritional status need to be emphasized for the balance between consumption and nutrient absorption or physiological conditions available in the body of PLWH.
