Abstract: The writing of traditional historiography is an effective political communication media to cultivate and maintain recognition of the power from peoples at large. It contains the myth that there is actually no, but it tried to be held. So that the people considered as if it exists. The book of Pararaton (genealogy of the Kings Singosari) and the book of Nagarakretagama (History of the Kingdom of Singosari until the kingdom of Majapahit) is called "Puja Sastra". Puja Sastra intended to legitimize the position of King Ken Arok by its author. Ken Arok was the king of Singosari from the lower classes. His reign is tried to be legitimized theocratic. That means legitimacy (validity) of power by the ruling authority to govern based on factors "supernatural" and direct. That means ruler is seen as a human who has the power of "divine" and his authority cannot be held accountable at all. The solution is they created a myth by linking genealogically Ken Arok as a descendant of Lord Brahma.
