Abstract: The present study evaluated how gender is represented in senior high school English textbook published by the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia. The findings show that there are four aspects of gender representation which are female and male occurrences, pictorial representation of female and male, female and male activity, and social and domestic roles.
