dc.description.abstractThe role of mass media in supporting the development of increasingly perceived urgency. In the era of the 20th century, can not be denied mass media, especially television. play an active role in uniting the Indonesian people who 16,000 islands scattered in the distance from the end of the East to the West end of 6,000 km. The role of television as a unifying mainly because of its ability to reach such a large area, especially after using the Domestic Satellite Palapa Indonesia in 1976, which at the same time broadcasting Televisi Republik Indonesia (TVRI) can be affordable around the provincial capital of Indonesia. The urgency of improving the quality of TVRI and RRI became inevitable because it could be argued that TVRI and RRI who have a broad range, from Sabang to Merauke. These advantages should be used as a medium to unite the nation so as to encourage the development of the nation in a comprehensive manner. Managing TVRI and RRI to be leading into things that can not be inevitable.en_US
