HUBUNGAN TINGKAT PENGETAHUAN IBU YANG MENIKAH PADA USIA DINI TENTANG PEMENUHAN KEBUTUHAN NUTRISI DENGAN STATUS GIZI BALITA DI DESA SUCOPANGEPOK KECAMATAN JELBUK KABUPATEN JEMBER

Abstract

Baby nutrition status is not only affected by food intake deficiency but also indirectly by other’s knowledge level. The popularity of early marriage behaviour impacted on mother’s knowledge. The study aims to determine the correlation betwen early married mother’s knowledge level about nutrition needs fulfillment with baby nutrition status in Sucopangepok village, District of Jelbuk, Jember Regency. The research was a analytical observational research, using cross sectional study. The population was early married mother’s who had baby in Sucopangepok Village. Sample was determined by total sampling mothod. Data was analyzed by spearman rank test. The result of the research showed that there was correlation betwen early married mother’s knowledge level about nutrition needs fulfillment with baby nutrition status with the correlation value =0,600 (p value=0,000<α=0,05. The correlation direction was positive so the more better the early married mother’s knowledge level about nutrition needs fulfillment, the more better the baby’s nutrition status.
