dc.description.abstractJember was an area producing a variety of agricultural and plantation commodities. One commodity that developed in Jember was cocoa. Health care was closely related to the welfare of society. Farmers were typically rural communities who still have limited access to information about health care and less understand the importance of maintaining health, included oral health.This services aimed to increase awareness of the importance of maintaining oral health care through dental care, as well as to provide information about the role of the dentist in maintaining oral health by counceling activities. Simple dental treatment was also given to the farmer that can improve oral health. Based on the observations, their knowledge about oral health was minimum, score of oral hygiene index were classified as poor and in need of treatment. Most oral health problems concerning the smoking habits of farmers so much tartar, stain, and gingival recession. There was a decreased in score of oral hygiene index before and after this IbM activity which means an increased in the level of oral hygiene. Need to do a similar activity continuously in order to obtain maximum results.en_US
