dc.description.abstractCharacteristics of a fractal dimension is determined in the form of fractions. A fractal is formed from the crushing process, can be derived a relationship between the mass of the diameter in order to obtain a fractal dimension. Further studies showed that the fractal dimension of a mass infiltration was influential on the quality of materials used fractal. The research provides new ideas to create a flood prevention tool that applies the science of fractals so named fractal boxpori. The tool is made from cardboard rubbish which has been a source of flooding. Various types of cardboard researched absorption rate in accordance with the functions of fractal boxpori. Each type of cardboard shaped into a sphere fractal with the same dimensions using the equation of fractal dimension that has been developed by previous researchers. Fractal sphere of any type of cardboard calculated absorbency. Cardboard boxes selected is capable of absorbing water at most and can hold water longer. This research managed to find the best type of cardboard as a material basis for making fractal boxpori namely cardboard drinks.en_US
