dc.description.abstract | Ecranisation is a branch of comparative literary study which is relatively new, although it is considered new, it has developed rapidly. One of the films, which is the product of ecranisation, is Perempuan Berkalung Sorban. This research which is done through the qualitative descriptive method shows that the change or the adaptation from the novel into the film brings a consequence of a change in plot. There are several parts that are changed, erased, added and other various changes. The changes which are done also have meanings, as the film crews want it to be. The reduction of the story is aimed for adjusting it with the limited duration of the film. The addition of the story is done to adjust the story in the film, while the various changes are done in order to show a more dramatic scene. Thus, the differences that exist among the novel and the film adaptation, is not differences in literary system and film system only, but also differences made by the film crews. | en_US |
