PENGARUH PEMBERIAN JUS BELIMBING MANIS (Averrhoa carambola Linn) TERHADAP PENURUNAN TEKANAN DARAH KLIEN HIPERTENSI DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS PALERAN KECAMATAN UMBULSARI KABUPATEN JEMBER

Abstract

Hypertension is one of cardiovascular disease that become the primary health problem around the world. One of non farmakology therapy for hypertension was star fruit, because star fruit countained not only high potassium and water level but also low sodium. This study aims to analyze the effect of star fruit juice to decrease blood pressure. The study used pre experimental research method with one group pretest posttest design. The sample was 38 respondents, determined using non probability sampling method with purposive sampling approaches. Data analysis test used dependent t-test with α=0,05. The result showed that p value= 0,0001. The study suggested that there was a significant effect of star fruit juice to decrease blood pressure on client with hypertension at Paleran health center, Umbulsari Jember.
