Efek Hujan Asam terhadap Kandungan Senyawa Biokimia Daun Murbei Morus multicaulis Perr.

Abstract

Acid rain cause many effects to plants. The aim of this research analyzed the effect of the acid rain exposure to biochemical contents, especially total protein, total sugar and vitamin C in Morus multicaulis Perr. leaves. Twelve Mulberry plants as a treatment were planted on pot and watered with 300 ml acid rain/pot/2 days for 5 weeks. The result showed that total protein, total sugar and vitamin C were affected by acidity of acid rain. The highest result of protein and sugar respectively: pH 5.6 was 5.84% and pH 4.6 was 4.6%. While vitamin C was decreased at pH 5.6 and 4.6.
