dc.description.abstract | Traffic accidents have become national and world issues. UN says traffic accidents as one of the epidemic disease of world. Predicted 2020, traffic accidents ranked the 3rd malignancies. The number of accidents increased in Jember year 2006 - 2008, the average order of 15% each year. Jember Traffic Police with the University of Jember, through Therapy Blackspot Program to identify the locations of the accident-prone areas. Based on the results of the accident-prone areas identification, targeting road safety action activities specified national road Rambipuji - Tanggul (blacklink) and KM Jbr. 27-28 (blackspot). Constrained budget in related institutions, not allow for activities and improvement of road and traffic facilities or infrastructure. Strategies road safety action activities conducted blakspot locations in September - December 2008 to increase traffic police patrols and road environmental character of blackspot locations. Using chi-square analysis, the results of the analysis of accident blackspot locations obtained x2 = 0.00685 is beyond the x2 for α = 1% who stated that treatment can be accepted (successful). K-test results obtained 0.78 k < 1 which states a decline in accidents at blackspot locations after treatment. | en_US |
