dc.description.abstractThis research aims to determine the temperature during the coffee bean roasting process using the Finite Element Method (FEM). In coffee roasting, achieving an even temperature distribution is crucial for ensuring the final quality of the coffee beans. The FEM was selected due to its established effectiveness in analyzing both Transient and Steady-State conditions, facilitating a comprehensive understanding of the dynamics involved in the roasting process of coffee beans. The FEM discretizes the coffee beans into small elements, calculates the temperature at each nodal point, and estimates the temperature within the elements using an interpolation function. The analysis results indicate that optimal temperature distribution can be achieved through proper adjustment of temperature and roasting time. This method enables precise control of the roasting process, ensuring consistent quality in the coffee beans produced. This study underscores the significance of employing the FEM to optimize coffee bean roasting processes, offering valuable insights for enhancing efficiency and product quality in the coffee industry.en_US
