Abstract: Antirogo River in Jember is one of the rivers in Jember Regency, surrounded by anthropogenic activities such as agriculture, settlements and industry, which can cause a reduction of water river quality. Determining river water quality can be based on biological parameters by calculating biotic indices, such as the Singscore index, which uses benthic macroinvertebrates as indicators. The activities surrounding the Antirogo River generate the necessity to evaluate the water quality of the Antirogo River in the Jember Regency using the Singscore index. The method is to collect benthic macroinvertebrates, identify them at the family level, then calculate the Singscore index value. The benthic macroinvertebrates have been found is from ten families, which consist of five sensitive families (Leptophlebiidae, Heptageniidae, Caenidae, Baetidae, and Hydropsichydae), one moderate tolerant family (Crambidae), and four tolerant families (Dugesiidae, Chironomidae, Glossiphonidae, Lymnaeidae). The Singscore index value obtained is 106, so the Antirogo River in Jember Regency has good water quality. This score means that the Antirogo River water has low Cu (Cuprum, copper) contamination levels, so conductivity and TDS are also low. This means human activities surrounding Antirogo River in Jember Regency have not poluted the river at an alarming rate.
