dc.description.abstractChili plants (Capsicum frutescens L.) have high economic value. The productivity of chili plants is influenced by many factors. Insects have many roles such as hams, predatoes and pollinators. East Java Province is the center of chili plant production in 2013-2018 with production results experiencing a fairly good increase. The decline in production is currently influenced by the abundance of insects and other factors, namely the influence of the season. The purpose of the study was to determine the types of insects found on chili plants in Suger Lor Villlage, Maesan District, Bondowoso. The research wasconducted in October 2022-March 2023. This research method was carried out using insect nets by tracing along the beds with a rice field area of 429 cm2 . Sampling was done twice for four weeks. The results showed that the types of insect found in Suger Village included 6 orders and 16 families, the most insetc found in the research location were from the Coccinellidae family with 42 individuals and the least insects were the Apidae family with 1 individual.en_US
