Abstract: Human resources are a valuable asset for organizations or agencies in determining integrated strategies and policies. Organizational success and strength can be achieved with positive employee performance in accordance with organizational or agency goals. The Immigration Service, which provides direct services to the community, of course human resources are of particular concern. This phenomenon is reflected in the performance of employees. This research aims to determine and analyze whether workload and physical work environment influence employee performance through motivation as an intervening variable at the TPI Jember Class 1 Immigration Service. Explanatory research research with a sample of 45 employees taken based on a minimum work period of one year, and not structural officials. Data analysis using SEMPLS with the help of SmartPLS software 4. Research results show that: 1) Workload does not have a significant effect on the performance of TPI Jember Class 1 Immigration Service employees; 2) Workload does not have a significant effect on the motivation of TPI Jember Class 1 Immigration Service employees; 3) The physical work environment has a significant effect on the performance of TPI Jember Class 1 Immigration Service employees; 4) The physical work environment has a significant effect on the motivation of TPI Jember Class 1 Immigration Service employees; 5) Motivation has a significant effect on the performance of TPI Jember Class 1 Immigration Service employees.
