Analisis Komparatif Usaha Budidaya Udang Vaname Tambak Tradisional Dengan Tambak Intensif Di Kabupaten Situbondo

Abstract

The objectives of this research are: (1) to find out the revenue and cost efficiency margin of the vannamei shrimp farming by using traditional farming system compared to the intensive farming system in Situbondo Regency, (2) to find out the significantly contributing factors on the vannamei shrimp intensive farming system in Situbondo Regency. This research employs analytical and comparative methods. Sampling determination is performed using disproportionate random sampling. Regarding data analysis, this research employs T-Test and Multiple Linear Regression by using Dummy variables. The result of this research reveals that (1) There was no significant difference between intensive shrimp farming with traditional ponds (2) The variables of amount of yield, manpower cost, area width, as well as the technology of the farming (intensive and traditional) show significant effect on the revenue of the vannamei farming system in Situbondo regency
