dc.description.abstractEnergy needs are increasing with advances in technology so that humans try to exploit energy sources optimally. Therefore, new innovations are needed to replace these energy sources, one of which is the use of Phase Change Material (PCM) in the water heater collector. In this study, the PCM used was paraffin with the addition of butter. The addition of butter to paraffin is used to increase the thermal conductivity of PCM paraffin. The purpose of this study was to determine the characteristics of PCM with variations in the mixture of ingredients, namely butter - paraffin and the efficiency of the water heater collector. The percentage of the butter and paraffin mixture is 10%, and 20% of the total volume. Based on the research, the highest efficiency was found in the water heater collector equipped with a PCM mixture of 20% paraffin-butter at 82.09%.en_US
