dc.description.abstractLike the inductive load increase, reactive power which is put inside the network will be bigger and it will cause voltage drop at the end of line also increase network losses. Various attempts have been made to lessen the voltage drop and network losses. One way to do is installing capacitor for reactive power compensation. The location of capacitors on distribution network system that has various bus loads that need to be optimized. The addition of capacitors Clonal Selection used as method to determine the location of capacitors. The results of Clonal Selection Method that used at Watu Ulo feeders in PT. PLN APJ Jember are the location of capacitors that has installed are at Trafo Bus GE197 and GE 138, approximately 400 kVar. After the installment of capacitors, voltage around the end of feeders increase into 1.16% and also decrease the network losses for Rp. 279.936.000,00/year.en_US
