dc.description.abstractCraniotomy is opening of cranium to increase access the intracranial structure at risk of tissue damage and other complications. Postoperative management can be done with the nursing process. Nursing problem are the basis for nursing diagnosis in nursing care plans. The purpose of this research is to analyze the nursing problem of post-craniotomy patients in dr. Soebandi Hospital Jember. The variable analyzed are nursing problems. This research is descriptive quantitative using retrospective study with a simple random sampling method. The sample of this research are 94 medical records of post craniotomy patients obtained by calculation using the slovin formula from the population in January 2016 to December 2017. The results showed the main nursing problem in post- craniotomy patients are acute pain (58,51%), ineffective cleaning of the airway (25,53 %), and ineffective breathing pattern (15,96%). Nursing diagnoses based on indicators reflecting PES / PE are 39 (41,49%) and those that do not reflect PES / PE are 55 (58,51%). Nurses have an important role in postoperative management, especially in nursing care. Nursing problems need to be formulated by considering data that supports nursing problems in patients to improve the quality of nursing care.en_US
