The use of cooling machines has become a basic requirement for most people who function in improving the quality of human life. This is directly proportional to the increase in energy requirements in the use of cooling machines, making it a new challenge for researchers, especially in the field of Mechanical Engineering or in the effort to improve the work performance of refrigeration machines. Researchers must also pay close attention to the impact of using refrigerant on the environment. Previous research on cooling machines showed that the results of the work performance of the cooling engine were better in the condenser, namely the condenser separation. The use of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) shows that the results of work performance of a cooling machine are better than the use of CFC (Cholo Flouro Carbon) and HFC (Hydro Flouro Carbon) refrigerants. In addition, the use of Liquefied Petroleum Gas has environmentally friendly properties that do not contain elements that can damage the Ozone layer in Stratosphere or ODS (Ozone Depleting Substance) and do not cause global warming or GWP (Global Warming Potential). The purpose of this study is to determine the work performance of cooling machines by using a condenser separation and refrigerant used is Liquefied Petroleum Gas cooling machine work performance includes: the effect of refrigeration, compression work, refrigeration capacity and cooling machine performance coefficient. This study uses an experimental method by comparing the use of condenser separation and the use of ordinary condensers. The total length of each condenser is equalized. The data obtained in this study include temperature and pressure. Data retrieval was carried out on the condition of the cooling engine in a steady state state for 180 minutes and the test was repeated three times for data retrieval so that the results were accurate. The use of variations in the condenser model can have an effect on the COP (Coefficient of Performance). The highest COP in this study is found in the type C condenser model (separation condenser with Y profile connection with 2U at the top and 7U at the bottom) with COP value of 10.37. This value shows a yield of 34% higher compared to COP in an ordinary condenser which only has a COP value of 6.87.en_US
